Two ways to build a full day around Putrajaya
Two private combo tours build a full day around Putrajaya. The 12-hour 4-in-1 (Bokun 872292, RM 1,072 for 2 adults) adds KL City, Batu Caves and the Kuala Selangor fireflies; the 8-hour Grand KL, Putrajaya and Batu Caves tour (Bokun 868478, RM 625.24 for 2 adults) adds the KL Tower deck and Batu Caves and finishes mid-afternoon. Both are your group only, one vehicle, one driver-guide, start to finish, and both put Putrajaya at the centre of the day rather than treating it as a drive-past, the same principle behind every one of our guided Putrajaya tours.
Pick by how the day should end. The 4-in-1 finishes in the dark on a river with fireflies. The Grand KL tour finishes mid-afternoon with time left for dinner in the city.

The 4-in-1: Putrajaya, KL City, Batu Caves and fireflies
Twelve hours, RM 1,072 for 2 adults (RM 536 each), child aged 3 to 11 RM 335. Bokun experience 872292.
The route runs the King’s Palace, the National Mosque, the old Railway Station, Independence Square, the River of Life and the Golden Triangle, then a Petronas Twin Towers photo stop before Batu Caves and its 272 steps. Putrajaya follows: the Putra Mosque, the Prime Minister’s Office, Putra Square and the Millennium Monument. The day closes at Bukit Melawati, a seafood dinner and the Kampung Kuantan firefly boat, both of which are included in the price.
Two things to know before booking. Waiting time is a strict five minutes, so be downstairs early. And the Petronas and KL Tower entrance fees are not included, because the itinerary stops for photographs rather than tickets.
Grand KL, Putrajaya and Batu Caves
Eight hours, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, RM 625.24 for 2 adults (RM 312.62 each). Bokun experience 868478. A child aged 3 to 11 is RM 111.65: RM 736.89 for 2 adults and one child, RM 848.54 with two.
This is the shorter, more architectural day. In Putrajaya it takes in the Palace of Justice, the Putra Mosque, the Prime Minister’s Offices, Putra Square and the three bridges. In Kuala Lumpur it adds a one-hour KL Tower observation deck stop with the ticket included, Royal Selangor Pewter and an East Coast batik factory, plus Batu Caves.
There is no boat cruise in this itinerary. If the traditional perahu on the Putrajaya lake is the part you came for, book the Putrajaya half-day tour instead, or read what the Putrajaya lake cruise is actually like before you decide. Booking cutoff is 12 hours before departure and the same strict five-minute waiting time applies.
Which one, and when to book neither
If you have a full day, want the fireflies and don’t mind a late finish, take the 4-in-1. If you would rather be back by late afternoon and care more about buildings than boats, take the Grand KL tour. If Putrajaya itself is the reason you are here and you only have a morning, neither combo is right for you: the half-day tour is shorter, cheaper and includes the lake cruise the combos leave out.
